Website Compatibility

Posted By Ryan W. Schniederjan, Saturday, February 23, 2013

The AAPA IT Committee and our partner, Yourmembership.com have created our website using the latest web technologies available.
To take full advantage of our website, we recommend the following:

  • Operating Systems - The following operating systems have been tested for compatibility: Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows Vista, Windows 7 & Mac OS 10.3. Additional operating systems may function properly however they have not been tested.

  • Browsers for MS Windows Users - We suggest using Mozilla Firefox 4+ or Google Chrome 14+ for optimal compatibility.  If you use Microsoft Internet Explorer, we recommend IE 8 or higher.  It is also recommended to keep your browsers updated to the latest builds within your version.  You may download the latest versions here:    Firefox      Chrome

  • Browsers for Mac Users - We suggest using Mozilla Firefox 4+ or Google Chrome 14+ for optimal compatibility.  If you use Apple Safari, we recommend version 3 or higher.  It is also recommended to keep your browsers updated to the latest builds within your version.  You may download the latest versions here:    Firefox      Chrome

  • Monitor Resolution - Please configure your monitor resolution to 1024x768 or higher to ensure proper website display and menu rendering.

  • Monitor Color Depth - Please ensure your monitor color depth is set to 16 bit "high color" or greater.

  • Accept Cookies - Please ensure your computer accepts cookies for proper functionality. Note that some desktop security suites will disable JavaScript and cookies.

  • JavaScript Enabled - Please ensure your browser allows JavaScript to run. In most instances, this is the default setting when the browser is installed. You will experience issues with certain aspects of the site if JavaScript is disabled.  Note that some desktop security suites will disable JavaScript and cookies.

  • Get The Latest Sun Java Update - Please ensure, whether Mac or PC, you have the latest Java Runtime Environment (JRE).  To get the latest JRE, please visit www.java.com and install the latest version. This update is free.

If you have problems, do not hesitate to contact us.
