New York Legislation - AAPA Breaking News

Breaking news on the legislative front in New York.  The lobbying coalition has determined that there is not enough political support in New York for a bill to license Pathologists’ Assistants this year.  There is however enough support to modify the limited license that is currently slated to expire in September of this year, extending it for several years.  A legislative committee in New York is slated to discuss the bill today, Tuesday June 11th.  If possible, please review this memo and let the key legislators know of your support for this bill.  We at the AAPA will send out updates as the bill progresses through the legislature, and we will call on you for continued support.

Thank you,

Rosie Falcon, MS, PA(ASCP)
Legislative Adjunct to the Board of Trustees
