Pathologists' Assistant Day (PA Day) is celebrated annually on April 14 to mark the establishment of the American Association of Pathologists' Assistants on April 14, 1972, when the founding fathers filed our Articles of Incorporation.  In 2024, PA Day will be observed on Monday, April 15.

Professional advocacy is a core value of the AAPA, but we need your help to keep moving forward!  The movement starts with you as an individual in your own workplace.  Don’t wait for someone else to start the celebration for you; start it yourself!  Let others witness the passion that you have for your profession.

It Pays to Know the Value of a Certified Pathologists’ Assistant:

• If you are pursuing a career in pathology, it pays to know the education, skill, salary, and responsibility that goes into being a certified pathologists’ assistant and not a less qualified lab technician.
