Due to circumstances beyond our control and out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our members, we are being forced to cancel the AAPA Spring Meeting which was to be held next week in Charlotte. This situation has quickly progressed and now more than half of our attendees, and some speakers as well, have received employer imposed travel bans. While we had every intention of holding this meeting even up until yesterday, it is simply not in the best interest of our members to hold a meeting right now.
Refund – As an exception to our cancellation policy noted on our website, registrants may choose to receive an 80% refund or select to receive a set of recorded lectures, with the opportunity to still earn CE credit, from a prior meeting (Fall 2019, Spring 2019, Fall 2018) in lieu of a refund. Unless we hear from you first with your preference at email@example.com, you will be contacted within the coming days to wrap this up. Please disregard if your cancellation has already been processed.
Hotel and Travel – Attendees are responsible for cancelling their travel arrangements. You may call the Embassy Suites by Hilton Charlotte Uptown directly at (704) 940-2517 or access your online reservation here. Hotel room cancellation is required 72 hours before arrival to avoid penalties. Although we’re attempting to work with the hotel to waive this, it is in your best interest to cancel ASAP today, Thursday, March 12, before midnight Eastern Time.
On behalf of the AAPA, I apologize that we are being forced to cancel this meeting and for the inconvenience it has caused each of you. We truly hope you will plan to join us for a future meeting.
