Have you...

  • passed the ASCP BOC Pathologists’ Assistant Certification Examination
  • passed the AAPA Fellowship Examination prior to 2005
  • graduated from a NAACLS accredited pathologists’ assistant training program and are certification exam eligible through the ASCP, but have NOT passed the ASCP BOC Pathologists’ Assistant Certification Examination
  • enrolled in a NAACLS accredited pathologists’ assistant training program as an active, fully matriculated student

*Student members are automatically upgraded to Associate members at the end of the year in which they graduate.
*Student and Associate members are automatically upgraded to Fellow members after official notification from the ASCP BOC that they have passed the exam.

 

Member Benefits


Membership Application Approval Process

The Membership Committee will review all applications, and recommend either acceptance or rejection of all applications to the Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees will be solely responsible for the acceptance or rejection of all Association members.

 

Special Categories

Current members may submit a request to the Membership Committee to be moved to these categories:

Retired -

Members who have retired may move to this category.

Medical/Military Leave –

Members may be moved to this category for a specified period of time. Members who become permanently disabled, either physically or mentally, may apply for this membership category on a permanent basis, provided the member supplies sufficient documentation of the permanent disability.

Inactive –

Members who have voluntarily submitted a request to be moved to the inactive roster.
